Sowmya was a consultant with Strand Life Sciences for over fifteen years after she completed her PhD in molecular biophysics from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) She is a passionate advocate of sustainability and a dedicated practitioner as well. She also volunteers with Solid Waste Management Roundtable ( SWMRT)
